Providing insight and God-given procedure for freeing the human spirit from all that would enslave is the focus of all our publications.
(11/10/00) From a recovery minister in Tampa ....... Tom, a young man, named Freddie, a cancer patient, having lost one leg, and facing surgery on the other, raised as a Muslim, got up in the middle of the night last week, opened up "40 Days To Freedom" and got saved. Just wanted you to hear another testimony of God's Grace working.....

I haven't even finished the book yet - but from what I've read I'm getting the confidence that this book is gonna take me very far. My new year's resolution to the Lord was for Him to give me stronger faith and more determination - and with your book I feel like I'm half way to my wishes ........

After only eight months the marriage of Tom and Johanna, announced in the previous edition of this newsletter, was dissolved on January 9, 2001. Though I anticipate much criticism and judgment from this issue, to withhold this information from our readers would equate to living a lie. This ministry and I are committed to living and revealing truth no matter the cost. The personal cost has been high with both the marriage issue and with the religious myths exposed in The Man in the Desert; but we will continue on in the truth and love of our Father Creator.
The end of this blessed marriage is a testament to God's non-interference with the free will of His children. Though He will follow us into hell to influence us to change our ways, He will not impose His way upon us. Praise God!
Please forgive me for providing no further detail on this issue at this time. To do so would be unfair to Johanna and painful to me. Freedom Ministries, Inc. and I have relocated to the Orlando Area.

FREEDOM JOURNEY 2000 - THE BOOK?
Freedom Journey 2000 - A Love Story will be written. To exclude the love story and relationship between Tom and Johanna would be a violation of the truth by omission. Though the source of the strength needed to complete the two hundred five day journey, mostly by bicycle and sea, was Father God, Johanna was an important instrument of His provision.
I confess I am not currently working on this or any new book project though a fourth title has been revealed to me. When God is ready for me to begin, He will provide the inspiration and courage as He has with the creation of this letter. It is my plan, starting with the next edition of the Freedom Letter, to share some of the many wonderful people encounters experienced while traveling across America and Europe. My hope is they will both entertain and inspire you.

I believe this book addresses many of the questions and much of the confusion that exists within the hearts and minds of most Christians today as well as many non-Christians who see this religious institution, often touted as the only path to heaven, as arrogant, manipulative, self-serving, and contradictory of the message given by Jesus and the God of Love who purportedly would condemn any of his children to eternal fire and brimstone. While many clergy are wonderful, loving, selfless people, the organized churches have been severely corrupted by human error carried forward from earlier belief systems and lust for power and control.
A former (by his choosing) friend who disputes the revelations in The Man in the Desert expressed to me that he needed his church which inferred that he would rather live in the comfort of a lie than stand up for the truth. Such comfort is only temporary as God promises we will all reap as we sow. The same former friend also expressed that his church had stood the test of time; but has it? With more clergy leaving, less entering ministry, and church attendance waning, the monolith, never intended by Jesus, is crumbling. The singular message of Jesus' cross is that the truth is worth any price we must pay during this brief sojourn on earth; and, by paying the price we are each individually asked, we progress toward the eternal fountainhead of the God of Love. By standing for the truth we may diminish in the eyes of organized religion but not in the eyes of our Creator. With our focus on the one identified by Jesus as his and our God and Father, not a church, no matter the price, even as we are in the world, our yoke is easy and our burden light.

Since returning from FJ2K, I have again become active in prison ministry and plan to increase my involvement from the current two institutions to four over the next month and, perhaps, many more when the third printing of 40 Days to Freedom is completed. I have no timeline for that completion which is contingent on God's provision through the sales of The Man in the Desert and contributions to this ministry.
It is indeed frustrating to see so much emphasis in our society on the punishment of criminals. Each soul is a precious creation of God and "God don't make junk!" The origin of that quote escapes me; nevertheless, it is a great truth. Every one of us as we pass from this life to the next will face rehabilitation to some degree and it will be administered with love. This is the method of most prison ministries.
Changing hearts of crime or hate or greed or lust, wherever found, including prison, mental or physical, to hearts of love is the objective of the God-given, healing procedure found in 40 Days to Freedom, our first book, published in 1995. Indeed, beyond objective, this has proven to be an accomplishment with countless souls throughout the world based on the distribution of 16,700 free copies.
